About Me

My name is Sally Salopek and I have been working professionally with animals for over 30 years. I would welcome the opportunity to care for your pets.

I have worked as a veterinarian technician.

Started and ran a successful dog grooming business called

"The Barker Shop" in Milwaukee, WI for 17 yrs. Sold the business to move up to Door County. The shop is still running today!

Worked with Bob Hanus, who was a well known professional dog trainer in Milwaukee. He trained dogs in obedience, tracking, search and rescue and Schutzhund. The knowledge I gained from working with Bob has been invaluable in my understanding of canine behavior.

Worked at the Wisconsin Humane Society in their wildlife rehabilitation center caring for sick and injured animals.

Worked for the DNR, Department of Natural Resources, tracking wolves in Wisconsin.

Been active in animal rescue. Have fostered and placed many dogs and cats throughout the years.

Volunteered with Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue (MWCR) doing follow up calls on newly adopted dogs to see how they were adjusting in their new home. Offering advice for problems that may be occurring.

Cared for farm and exotic animals at a zoo.

Above is Santana. Bandit and her were best of friends. Sadly, we lost her in 2013. They always laid together on the front porch in the nice weather.

Now Bandit has a new best friend. Introducing JESSIE JAMIE
